Location: Primarily remote, with occasional meetings at the Navy base in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; United States work authorization is required.

What you will do
- Develop and support a secure Android application for a federal agency.
- Implement DoD E-ICAM authentication and manage JWTs for authorized communication with Amazon S3.
- Retrieve and submit data through established APIs and Amazon S3 buckets.
- Build barcode-scanning workflows that validate scanned information against system-of-record data.
- Create alerts for unexpected or inconsistent scan results.
- Collaborate with developers responsible for data extraction and API components while following secure development and Agile practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Android application development experience.
- Experience developing Android applications in secure environments, preferably for federal or state government clients.
- Interim Secret or Secret security clearance required.
- Security+ CE certification required.
- Experience with application authentication, secure backend communication, APIs, and JSON-based data exchange.
- Experience with cloud storage or services, preferably Amazon S3.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of Android development experience.
- Department of Defense or federal government experience.
- Experience with DoD E-ICAM, JWTs, or comparable identity and access management technologies.
- Experience using AI tools for software development.
- Experience with Agile development, barcode scanning, or data-validation workflows.
