What you will do
- Perform initial triage and assessment of cyber threat tickets, incident reports, and IOC submissions.
- Analyze IP addresses, domains, file hashes, network traffic patterns, malware artifacts, and other technical data.
- Assess threat severity, credibility, and potential impact on critical infrastructure sectors.
- Enrich indicators using threat intelligence platforms, OSINT, and government resources.
- Prepare concise triage reports, recommend escalation or further analysis, and route tickets to JCDC, CISA, or interagency teams.
- Maintain operational documentation, participate in shift handoffs and briefings, and support triage playbooks and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required; ability to obtain DHS Suitability required.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in threat intelligence, SOC operations, or cyber incident response.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline; alternatively, a high school diploma with 4+ years of directly relevant technical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively across physical locations.
- Experience with threat intelligence, ticketing, and knowledge management systems; familiarity with SIEM platforms is beneficial.
Nice to have
- Federal cybersecurity experience with CISA, FBI, NSA, DoD, or similar organizations.
- Knowledge of the CISA NCISS incident scoring system, attack stages, vulnerabilities, and computer network defense policies.
- Experience with SIEM and threat intelligence platforms, critical infrastructure risks, and DHS/CISA products.
- Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, or similar certification.
