Location: Grayslake Outpatient Clinic, 1475 E. Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, Illinois, United States. Full-time overnight schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., including one weekend shift per week.
Salary: USD 30.92–41.74 per hour

What you will do
- Perform overnight diagnostic polysomnograms and CPAP/Bi-PAP titrations according to national standards and departmental guidelines.
- Prepare patients, equipment, monitoring montages, recording devices, and EEG electrodes using the International 10-20 system.
- Record, score, and process sleep studies while documenting clinical observations, billing information, and procedure details.
- Identify apneas, periodic limb movements, respiratory events, cardiac dysrhythmias, seizures, and other physiological abnormalities.
- Troubleshoot inadequate signals, adjust recording techniques, maintain equipment, and document unresolved technical barriers.
- Provide patient education and reassurance, train new sleep technicians and student preceptors, and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as an RPSGT or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- BLS CPR certification.
- At least 12 months of prior sleep technician experience.
- Knowledge of the International 10-20 electrode-placement system and familiarity with personal computers.
- Ability to work three 12-hour overnight shifts and one weekend shift per week at the Grayslake clinic.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree or additional training in electroneurodiagnostics, anatomy, or an allied health program.
- Experience at a facility accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
- At least 18 months of prior sleep technician experience.
