Lead Continuous Visual Monitoring Technician-Delnor Patient Monitoring (Full Time Days)

Location: Onsite at Delnor Hospital, 300 Randall Rd., Geneva, Illinois, United States. Five 8-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with every other weekend and rotating holidays required.

Salary: USD 20.56–26.73 per hour

What you will do

• Provide continuous video monitoring and safety observation for patients at risk of harming themselves or others.
• Use verbal redirection, comfort measures, distraction, coping strategies, cognitive stimulation, and de-escalation techniques within the role’s scope.
• Manage patient intake and discharge workflows, including Artisight camera setup, patient information entry, order verification, and Epic updates.
• Monitor camera functionality, cross-check camera numbers, collect usage data, and troubleshoot issues with IT, Artisight, and Epic.
• Coordinate shift staffing, assignments, break coverage, admissions and discharges, staffing-office communication, and shift huddles.
• Support onboarding by scheduling orientations, facilitating check-ins, and ensuring competencies are completed on time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability for onsite day shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays is required.
• Ability to support high-acuity patients and communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff.
• Ability to use patient-monitoring, camera, communication, scheduling, and electronic health-record workflows.
• Successful completion of the required background check.
