Data Analytics Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, review, and ship SQL models that transform raw data into reliable data products.
• Own and maintain the data transformation layer and data warehouse models.
• Partner with Data Engineers to add, model, and publish new data sources.
• Improve data quality, accuracy, coverage, lineage, access, retention, and warehouse usability.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into modeled data, documenting business rules, definitions, and edge cases.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and process owners to support data-driven decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics with personally shipped production data models.
• Expert-level SQL skills and working knowledge of Python.
• Fluency with LLMs and agentic coding tools, including the ability to verify generated code and understand its limitations.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake, modern transformation frameworks, Git, orchestration tools, data modeling, and data governance.
• Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dataform, dbt, SQLMesh, Airflow, Cloud Composer, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience documenting semantic layers and enabling AI agents to use warehouse metadata.
