Senior Manager Marketplace Data Analytics & Operational Excellence (E-commerce)

What you will do

• Build and develop the Marketplace Data Analytics and Operational Excellence capability, including its vision, organizational setup, standards, and governance.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team covering analytics, AI, automation, and operational excellence.
• Own marketplace performance steering through KPI frameworks, reporting, forecasting, and analytical deep dives.
• Analyze seller performance, pricing, delivery times, and other marketplace drivers to produce actionable recommendations.
• Improve end-to-end marketplace processes through optimization, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Align Marketplace, Product, Tech, Data/AI, Finance, and Operations teams on priorities and decision-making.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Operational Excellence, Consulting, or a related field.
• Experience in e-commerce or marketplace environments and analytics projects with measurable business impact.
• Leadership experience, ideally around two years or more, with a track record of developing employees or project teams.
• Strong knowledge of performance management, KPI frameworks, forecasting, advanced analytics, and process optimization.
• Experience with SQL and Power BI, plus interest in AI and automation.
• English is required; German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience building a new function or capability rather than managing an established setup.
• Background in e-commerce or marketplace operations.
• German language skills.
