TL;DR
Senior Embedded System Architect (Automotive): Defining and driving architectures for complex embedded computing platforms from product needs through design, integration, validation, and production with an accent on hardware-software partitioning, system interfaces, performance, reliability, and diagnostics. Focus on leading cross-domain technical decisions, resolving architectural risks, and building robust, scalable, observable, testable, and maintainable systems.
Location: Jerusalem, Israel; hybrid work with one day per week at the Petah-Tikva site.

What you will do
- Own system architecture for complex embedded platforms and major platform capabilities.
- Translate product and customer needs into system concepts, architectures, interfaces, and requirements.
- Define functional decomposition, data and control flows, and hardware-software partitioning.
- Drive architectural decisions across compute, memory, storage, networking, power, boot, diagnostics, updates, security, and monitoring.
- Align system, hardware, embedded software, validation, safety, security, program, customer, and technology partner stakeholders.
- Analyze performance, availability, reliability, cost, safety, and complexity constraints while identifying and mitigating architectural risks.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in system architecture, system engineering, or complex embedded systems development.
- Strong understanding of embedded architectures across hardware and software boundaries, including SoCs, MCUs, processors, memory, storage, and peripherals.
- Experience defining system architectures, interfaces, requirements, functional decomposition, and hardware-software partitioning.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and cross-functional technical leadership skills.
- Ability to work from the Petah-Tikva site one day per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with automotive, safety-critical, or high-performance embedded systems.
- Experience with ASPICE, ISO 26262, Polarion, DOORS, or similar development and requirements frameworks.
- Experience working with customers, semiconductor vendors, or technology partners.
- M.Sc. in a relevant discipline.
