TL;DR
Senior Embedded System Architect (Embedded Systems/Automotive): Defining and driving architectures for complex embedded computing platforms across product needs, design, integration, validation, and production with an accent on hardware-software boundaries, system interfaces, and lifecycle robustness. Focus on balancing performance, reliability, safety, cost, and complexity while solving cross-domain challenges across SoCs, MCUs, networking, memory, storage, power management, diagnostics, security, and updates.
Location: Petah Tikva, Israel; hybrid workplace

What you will do
- Own the system architecture for complex embedded platforms and major platform capabilities.
- Translate product and customer needs into system concepts, architectures, interfaces, and requirements.
- Define functional decomposition, data and control flows, and hardware-software partitioning.
- Drive architectural decisions across compute, memory, storage, networking, power, boot, diagnostics, updates, security, and monitoring.
- Lead technical alignment across system, hardware, embedded software, validation, safety, security, program teams, customers, and technology partners.
- Analyze performance, availability, and reliability constraints, identify architectural risks, and drive mitigations to closure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in system architecture, system engineering, or complex embedded systems development.
- Strong understanding of embedded architectures across hardware and software boundaries, including SoCs, MCUs, processors, memory, storage, and peripherals.
- Experience defining system architectures, interfaces, requirements, functional decomposition, and hardware-software partitioning.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills for complex multidisciplinary systems.
- Ability to lead technical decisions and align multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with automotive, safety-critical, or high-performance embedded systems.
- Experience with ASPICE, ISO 26262, Polarion, DOORS, or similar development and requirements frameworks.
- Experience working with customers, semiconductor vendors, or technology partners.
