Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States — hybrid schedule with onsite work at the Restaurant Support Center

hirify.global operates a national restaurant business and provides restaurant support services across IT, operations, compliance, and other business functions.

What you will do

• Lead, plan, coordinate, and execute cybersecurity operations and initiatives.
• Manage and optimize the security stack, including SIEM, endpoint security, identity and access management, SSL certificates, vulnerability scanning, and remediation.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and incidents.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and malware or threat analysis.
• Integrate security practices into software development lifecycle and infrastructure deployment processes.
• Develop security policies and documentation, support PCI compliance, evaluate vendors, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business management, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of information security or related technology experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience with security operations, incident response, endpoint protection, intrusion detection, vulnerability management, MFA, PAM, and email security.
• Deep knowledge of networking, virtualization, cloud computing, network protocols, Windows, Unix, Linux, and databases.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, manage crisis situations, and communicate effectively with business partners and vendors.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CEH, GCIH, GIAC, or another security-related certification.
