Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Location: Onsite at CMC Creative Space office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

What you will do

• Develop and own backend services and APIs for enterprise customers and employees.
• Work with product, design, business, engineering, and QA teams to deliver products from requirements through production.
• Write reusable, scalable, and testable code and lead technical discussions.
• Improve system robustness, deployment pipelines, observability, and engineering practices.
• Review code and technical documentation while mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards.
• Lead on-call response, debugging, troubleshooting, and resolution of production incidents.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience in distributed systems.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
• Experience shipping web applications or backend services to production as an engineering owner.
• Experience operating production services, observability, and incident resolution.
• Proficiency in Golang, including concurrency and optimization, or strong programming skills with willingness to work in Golang.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, AWS or GCP, Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Agile development.
