Database Developer Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Larnaca, Cyprus; hybrid work model with 2 days working from home

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize SQL and NoSQL queries across MariaDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, and InfluxDB.
• Collaborate with software developers across multiple languages and platforms to understand database requirements and resolve technical challenges.
• Analyze database systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation covering query performance tuning, issue resolution, and system design.
• Monitor database technology trends and participate in the team’s on-call rotation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a database developer, database administrator, or in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Experience with MariaDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, and InfluxDB.
• Knowledge of Python and .NET, with the ability to guide software engineers on database performance.
• Eligibility or legal authorization to work in Cyprus is required. Resumes must be submitted in English.
