Java Software Engineer (Air Traffic Management)

What you will do

• Modernize and decompose a critical legacy system into services.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-availability backend applications using Java and modern engineering practices.
• Apply Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development with automated Java and Cucumber testing.
• Analyze operational and user needs and translate them into software requirements and technical solutions.
• Maintain requirements, design, testing, and traceability documentation.
• Plan and execute verification and validation activities, including FAT and SAT, while supporting certification, compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Aeronautics, or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience developing complex software systems, ideally in regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring, and Maven.
• Experience with requirements engineering, verification and validation, and software lifecycle documentation.
• Fluent English at C1 level or higher, both written and spoken.

Nice to have
