Supplier Dev Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Barneveld, Netherlands; regular physical presence at supplier locations and international travel required

Automotive manufacturing organization developing driveline, transmission, vision, emissions control, safety, security, and monitoring technologies for vehicle manufacturers.

What you will do

• Assess supplier manufacturing processes, lead times, and First Time Right performance at supplier locations.
• Implement process improvements and ensure they are embedded in supplier quality management systems.
• Conduct supplier quality audits against IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
• Manage supplier quality documentation, including NCMs, 8D reports, FMEAs, and Control Plans.
• Track corrective actions and support the evaluation, selection, and approval of new suppliers.
• Deputize for the Procurement Manager on supplier quality matters when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree at HBO level in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in supplier quality management and quality assurance.
• Certified Supplier Auditor in accordance with IATF 16949.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, VDA 6.3, AQL II, and MIL-STD-128 sampling techniques.
• Knowledge of automotive core quality tools, including FMEA, PPAP, and 8D, as well as IPC-A-610 and DRM.
• Good written and spoken English, willingness to travel internationally, and ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety.
