Senior AI-Native Product Engineer, Mobile (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; employees may live in any of the 50 states with limited exceptions.

Salary: $152,900–$244,300 annually in specified states, or $160,900–$257,100 annually in California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC. Equity awards may also be available.

What you will do

• Design and ship the mobile architecture for AI-powered conversations in hirify.global Instant Messaging across iOS and Android.
• Build streaming AI responses, topic-based conversation structures, and multimodal content rendering.
• Own cross-platform architecture for the messaging core, keeping Swift and Kotlin implementations aligned.
• Build resilient real-time messaging for unreliable mobile networks and define observability and service-level objectives.
• Partner with AI, Web, Backend, product, and design teams on the conversational AI roadmap.
• Improve testing and delivery velocity through unit, snapshot, and UI automation, while mentoring engineers across both platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping native mobile applications at consumer scale.
• Production experience on both iOS and Android, or deep expertise in one platform with demonstrated delivery on the other.
• Fluency in Swift and Kotlin, with experience in SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with real-time or streaming data, GraphQL clients, caching, and cache invalidation.
• Experience using AI coding agents in production, owning architecture adopted by other teams, and documenting technical decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating LLM or generative AI features into consumer mobile products.
• Experience with messaging, chat, or communications products.
• Experience with on-device inference or streaming/token-level UI rendering.
• Experience driving technical standards adoption beyond the immediate team.
