Contract Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid work schedule in Phoenix, AZ or Gilbert, AZ; business travel up to 10%.

Salary: $72,000–$105,000 annually.

A performance-driven aerospace and defense company developing and supporting technically complex programs.

What you will do

• Participate in all phases of contractual matters affecting space and defense programs.
• Prepare and review contracts, proposals, memorandums of agreement, long-term agreements, teaming agreements, and purchase orders.
• Review technical requirements, pricing, terms, conditions, delivery obligations, and compliance with company policies.
• Negotiate new contracts, change orders, and domestic and international contractual terms.
• Process milestone billings and support CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, FFP, time-and-material, and other contract types.
• Coordinate with legal, technical, customer, and export-control stakeholders, including obtaining required export licenses and government authorizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently under aggressive schedule and cost-containment requirements.
• Working knowledge of contract law, federal acquisition regulations, agency regulations, and contractual compliance.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.
• Hybrid presence in Phoenix or Gilbert, Arizona is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of U.S. Export Administration Regulations and International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
• Experience with warranty claims, government- and customer-furnished equipment, and materials.
• Experience with government, Department of Defense, NASA, NOAA, and commercial direct contracts.
• Experience negotiating domestic and international contracts and terms and conditions.
