Senior Manager / Associate Director, Clinical Data Transparency, EHDS Data Cataloguing

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days onsite weekly, in Beerse, Belgium; Leiden, the Netherlands; High Wycombe or Maidenhead, UK; Allschwil, Switzerland; or Spring House, Titusville, or Raritan, United States. Remote work may be considered case by case if approved.

Salary: €96,000–€165,025 in Belgium; €82,900–€144,210 in the Netherlands; CHF 136,000–CHF 234,830 in Switzerland.

What you will do

• Lead the EHDS data inventory and cataloguing workstream across functions and geographies.
• Identify, classify, describe, register, and maintain in-scope clinical and health data holdings.
• Define metadata requirements, classification guidance, operating procedures, controls, training, and performance measures.
• Coordinate with data owners, Data Sharing, Legal, Global Privacy, Regulatory Affairs, Technology, and data architecture teams.
• Drive data quality reviews, remediation, ownership assessments, catalogue updates, and periodic verification.
• Monitor EHDS implementing acts and technical specifications, and incorporate confirmed changes into cataloguing processes.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a scientific, technology, data, or healthcare discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, or data experience.
• Expertise in data cataloguing, metadata management, data classification, or data governance.
• Knowledge of clinical and health data standards, including CDISC SDTM or ADaM and controlled terminology.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects, coordinating distributed data owners, and implementing sustainable governance and quality processes.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and international collaboration skills; travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OMOP, HL7 FHIR, HealthDCAT-AP, or DCAT-AP.
• Experience with advanced analytics, dashboards, database management, data privacy, data security, or data stewardship.
• Experience evaluating and overseeing external cataloguing services or technology vendors.
