Senior Cloud Architect (Cloud Architecture)

Location: Limerick, Ireland. Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of employment.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, secure, resilient cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
• Define and evolve enterprise cloud strategy, standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Lead cloud adoption, modernization, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Drive innovation, cost optimization, operational excellence, and evaluation of emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, DevOps, and business stakeholders on end-to-end solutions.
• Coach and mentor architects, engineers, and developers on cloud architecture and implementation patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in cloud architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in one or more major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, DevOps, automation, containerization, and serverless architectures.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud transformation initiatives, with strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must already have the right to work in Ireland; employment permit sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Professional cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong coding ability in Python, Go, Java, or a similar language for infrastructure tooling, automation, or proof-of-concept development.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.
