TL;DR
General/Interdisciplinary Engineer (Aerospace): Supporting the design, acquisition, integration, testing, and sustainment of airborne Battle Management Command and Control systems with an accent on systems architecture, requirements engineering, and DoD acquisition processes. Focus on developing MBSE architectures, conducting trade and risk analyses, preparing technical reviews and test documentation, and maintaining system interoperability across the acquisition life cycle.
Location: Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, United States; hybrid position

provides engineering and technical support for Air Force airborne Battle Management Command and Control capabilities, including AWACS modernization and future airborne C2 systems.
What you will do
- Support the design, operation, acquisition, and sustainment of airborne systems and subsystems throughout the full systems life cycle.
- Develop system architectures, analyze design feasibility, assess interoperability, and recommend implementation alternatives.
- Translate DoD user requirements into system requirements and support requirements management, integration, verification, validation, and configuration management.
- Prepare engineering analyses, acquisition documentation, technical reports, briefings, reviews, and decision-support artifacts.
- Conduct trade studies, root-cause analyses, cost, risk, reliability, maintainability, and schedule assessments.
- Develop test plans and TEMP documentation, support test readiness reviews, and assist with developmental and operational test execution.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in the DoD, or 7 years of directly related experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
- Experience with systems engineering, architecture development, requirements analysis, integration, verification and validation, and configuration management.
- Experience with DoD and Air Force acquisition and sustainment processes, technical reviews, and engineering documentation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with government personnel, program offices, contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams.
