Pad Safety Supervisor (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Oversee hazardous and safety-critical operations conducted by Eastern Range launch contractors.
• Review launch contractor procedures and identify applicable safety standards and precautions.
• Monitor safety performance and administer facility safety inspections at missile processing and launch sites.
• Train and mentor other safety professionals.
• Prepare Operational Safety Plans, Explosive Safety Plans, Safety Operations Plans, safety checklists, incident reports, and trip reports.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in missile, explosives, or armament and weapons testing and operations.
• Experience handling explosives or propellants, monitoring safety performance, and conducting facility safety inspections.
• Training, certification, or coursework in health and safety engineering, test operations, or related areas.
• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Secret clearance required. Must be willing to be clean-shaven once a year for annual respirator training.

• CSP certification.
