Sr Staff Network ToR Switch & Console Automation Test Engineer (Networking)

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States

Base salary: $116,250–$155,000 per year, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and execute validation strategies for Top-of-Rack switches, network fabrics, console infrastructure, and rack-scale networking systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, test plans, test cases, and verification methodologies.
• Perform integration, regression, stress, performance, reliability, and fault-tolerance testing.
• Validate switching, routing, management, monitoring, deployment, and operational readiness capabilities.
• Analyze telemetry, logs, packet captures, and diagnostic data to investigate failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, systems, networking, and operations teams during platform bring-up, rack integration, qualification, and release readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, information technology, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in network validation, test engineering, infrastructure testing, or network automation.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet, switching, routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, network protocols, and data center architectures.
• Experience with ToR switches, console servers, network management platforms, rack-scale infrastructure, and large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Ansible, Shell scripting, or similar automation technologies, plus tools such as Wireshark, IXIA, Spirent, traffic generators, and telemetry platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
