What you will do
- Lead an agile product engineering team of approximately 8–10 frontend and backend engineers.
- Own delivery across outcome-focused squads and set technical direction across the application stack.
- Guide the Next.js and TypeScript frontend hosted on Vercel and the PHP/Symfony backend running on AWS.
- Drive AI-assisted coding and review practices while maintaining engineering quality and appropriate guardrails.
- Partner with data engineering and science across BigQuery, dbt, pipelines, and warehousing.
- Represent engineering in leadership discussions, communicate technical trade-offs, and own hiring and career development.
Requirements
- Leadership experience in a product engineering team within a B2B SaaS company, ideally in martech or an adjacent field.
- Strong frontend and backend experience with React, TypeScript, PHP/Symfony or a comparable server-side stack, and AWS.
- Experience maintaining infrastructure across AWS services including ECS, VPC, SQS, Aurora, and GCP services including Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and BigQuery, plus Vercel.
- Fluency with data infrastructure, including pipelines and data warehousing.
- Experience establishing AI-assisted coding and AI-augmented code review practices with clear quality controls.
- Hands-on player-coach experience growing, hiring, and holding an engineering team accountable in a fast-moving scale-up.
