TL;DR
Cloud Security Engineer (Cryptography/Cloud Security): Designing and implementing cryptographic protections, governance frameworks, and cloud security solutions for mission-critical data protection environments with an accent on encryption, Protegrity, and cloud-native infrastructure. Focus on deploying AWS serverless integrations with Terraform, automating RHEL environments with Ansible, and securing data platforms such as Snowflake and Teradata.
Location: Tysons, Virginia, United States
Salary: $60–$70 per hour

What you will do
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and collaborate with developers, product managers, architects, and stakeholders.
- Design and implement encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and enterprise cryptography governance frameworks.
- Assess security risks, identify vulnerabilities, and analyze cryptographic cyber-threat impacts.
- Serve as the lead subject-matter expert for a mission-critical data protection environment using Protegrity solutions.
- Automate RHEL server environments with Ansible and deploy AWS serverless integrations using Terraform Enterprise.
- Implement file encryption, maintain data protection policies, and integrate platforms such as Snowflake and Teradata.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in cryptography and 3 years in cybersecurity engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud-native technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- At least 2 years of experience with Unix or Linux administration, SELinux, Protegrity Data Protection, Ansible Automation Platform, and enterprise Terraform.
- Experience with coding or scripting in Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby.
- Work on site in Tysons, Virginia, United States.
Nice to have
- 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
- 4+ years of experience with the Protegrity Data Protection platform.
- Experience with Fuse, GPFS, NFS, Linux storage subsystems, clustering, high availability, fault tolerance, and replication.
- Experience with DevOps principles and Agile development practices.
