DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Tampere, Finland; hybrid work with occasional remote work, while most work is carried out on-site

hirify.global Sensor Technology Center develops electronic warfare systems within hirify.global Surveillance, supporting product development from specification through laboratory and qualification testing.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve development infrastructure, DevOps toolchains, source code repositories, build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and artifact repositories.
• Design and operate secure network connectivity for development, build, test, and deployment environments.
• Configure and support Kubernetes platforms, including ingress, load balancing, DNS, service connectivity, network policies, and certificate management.
• Automate manual processes and improve reliability, traceability, quality, and delivery efficiency.
• Integrate vulnerability management, security controls, and compliance checks into the software development lifecycle.
• Administer developer tools, provide lifecycle reporting, and evaluate AI-powered tools that improve developer productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least five years of relevant experience in DevOps, build engineering, software tooling, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, proxies, load balancing, TLS/PKI, and network segmentation.
• Experience with GitLab, Git, Docker, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, or similar tools; CI/CD pipeline design; and Kubernetes-based container platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, secure software development, open-source software governance, DevSecOps, monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Strong written and spoken Finnish and English are required. Approved Finnish security clearance and a drug test are required for the selected applicant.
