What you will do

• Design, build and improve machine learning systems for search, ranking, recommendations and personalisation.
• Develop, deploy and maintain batch and real-time machine learning models in production.
• Build scalable systems that process signals from millions of customer interactions and support personalised shopping experiences.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers and Product Managers to deliver measurable customer and commercial value.
• Improve the codebase, engineering practices and machine learning standards across the wider community.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge sharing to other engineers.

Requirements

• Experience applying machine learning and deep learning techniques in production.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks, distributed computing, distributed training infrastructure, GPU-based training and parallelisation.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, development lifecycle knowledge and MLOps experience.
• Experience developing reliable, scalable machine learning systems for production environments.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and collaborate across engineering, science and product teams.
