Intermediate Test Engineer (POS)

Location: Remote contractor position for candidates in Europe

What you will do

• Execute manual testing of POS applications across web, Windows, Android, and iOS.
• Perform REST API testing and validate system integrations.
• Verify new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for reliability, stability, and usability.
• Identify, document, and track defects while working with developers on resolution.
• Create, maintain, and update test cases, test plans, and QA documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience in manual software testing.
• Strong knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, SDLC/STLC, defect management, bug life cycles, and bug types.
• Hands-on experience testing web applications and REST APIs with Postman or similar tools.
• Experience creating, executing, and maintaining test cases and documentation, plus practical Jira experience.
• Intermediate+ English required for daily communication with global teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience testing Android/iOS applications, POS systems, and hardware peripherals.
• Background in restaurant, hospitality, or POS products.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban.
