Senior Cloud Security Engineer

What you will do

• Design, implement, and continuously improve security controls, detection capabilities, and automation across AWS and Azure environments.
• Define cloud security architecture and advise engineering teams on secure-by-design principles.
• Lead security assessments, threat modeling, risk analysis, remediation efforts, and security projects.
• Develop cloud security monitoring, detection engineering, incident response, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Partner with Engineering, DevOps, IT, and Product teams to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to security standards, policies, and operational processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in information security, including hands-on experience securing AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security architecture, identity and access management, network security, security monitoring, and modern mitigation techniques.
• Experience implementing cloud-native security services, security tooling, and automated controls.
• Experience leading security initiatives, cross-functional projects, and stakeholder communication.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, prioritization, and independent decision-making skills.
• High integrity, accountability, and professional judgment.

Nice to have

• Security automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Experience with SIEM, detection engineering, log management, threat hunting, EDR, vulnerability management, and endpoint security.
• Background in incident response, digital forensics, security investigations, and DevOps security.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, infrastructure as code, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, serverless technologies, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR, or equivalent frameworks, plus relevant security certifications.
