Sustainability Senior Manager

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work arrangement. Travel domestically and internationally is expected at less than 10% of working time. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $124,400–$207,400. The Tampa, Florida range is $111,900–$186,500.

What you will do

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies covering Scope 3 emissions, sustainable sourcing, biodiversity and nature, product sustainability, and responsible supply chains.
• Manage Scope 3 supply chain analysis, emissions-reduction opportunities, progress tracking, and implementation across cross-functional workstreams.
• Partner with External Supply, Procurement, contract manufacturing organizations, and suppliers on net-zero expectations, emissions data quality, and improvement plans.
• Develop sustainability metrics, KPIs, reporting, governance processes, risk assessments, compliance programs, playbooks, training, and decision-support tools.
• Track voluntary frameworks, customer expectations, industry trends, and emerging environmental regulations across hirify.global’s operating regions.
• Lead cross-functional teams and represent hirify.global in external sustainability initiatives, industry working groups, and collaborative partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of experience, master’s degree with at least 5 years, or PhD with at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience developing and executing corporate sustainability programs in a large, complex, matrixed organization.
• Technical expertise in climate and greenhouse-gas accounting, Scope 3 and supply chain emissions reduction, nature and biodiversity frameworks, and product sustainability regulations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and operate with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, data management, communication, training, and sustainability playbook development skills.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience with pharmaceutical environmental stewardship, product life-cycle assessments, and product carbon footprints.
• Experience engaging external manufacturing partners, contract manufacturing organizations, or strategic suppliers on decarbonization.
• Experience with environmental regulatory compliance, voluntary frameworks, external thought leadership, and industry working groups.
• Knowledge of global climate, nature, and sustainability disclosure requirements.
