Salary: $122,000–$146,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Build strong technical relationships with partner engineers and engineering leadership.
  • Translate partner priorities into scoped tasks, coordinate estimates and assignments, and manage dependencies and acceptance criteria across external studios.
  • Review technical designs, code, gameplay, animation, and in-game results for correctness, maintainability, performance, and alignment with partner standards.
  • Lead cross-studio technical discussions, clarify requirements, resolve ambiguity, and support decisions within the partner’s architecture and processes.
  • Track progress, blockers, delivery risks, integration, testing, and partner review readiness.
  • Investigate difficult technical issues and provide hands-on support while keeping coordination and technical oversight as the primary focus.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on Unreal Engine experience and strong C++ proficiency in large production codebases.
  • Demonstrated engineering leadership on complex game projects, including delegation, coordination, and accountability for delivery.
  • Strong technical judgment, debugging, code review, and broad game engineering skills, with deep expertise in at least one area.
  • Clear, concise professional communication for client-facing technical discussions and expectation management.
  • Ability to understand unfamiliar projects, identify dependencies, turn incomplete information into actionable next steps, and keep distributed teams aligned.
  • Substantial professional game engineering experience; at least one shipped commercial game or substantial production release is preferred.

Nice to have

  • AAA co-development or client-facing engineering leadership experience.
  • Experience coordinating multiple external studios or international engineering teams across time zones.
  • Gameplay and character animation programming experience.
  • Experience with late-production integration, bug fixing, and release stabilization.
  • A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
