Turbine Loads Design Validation Trainee (Wind Turbine)

What you will do

• Define and modify wind turbine models for aeroelastic calculations.
• Run simulations across diverse design conditions using aeroelastic codes such as BHawC.
• Analyze wind turbine loads and dynamics to support optimal performance.
• Collaborate with control and component departments on design improvements.
• Research and develop technologies for wind turbine modeling and validation.
• Provide technical support for critical problems, programming, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in wind turbine development, loads engineering, or loads calculation.
• Strong knowledge of aerodynamics, structural design, structural dynamics, or control systems.
• Familiarity with wind turbine design standards, including IEC 61400-1 and DNVGL.
• Experience with wind turbine load analysis tools such as GH Bladed, FLEX5, or FAST.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, is required.

Nice to have

• Additional training in wind energy, such as a master’s degree or complementary courses.
• Spanish language skills.
