Spring 2027 Intern - MAGNet Program @ Arizona State University (Data Science)

Location: Hybrid internship in Tempe, Arizona; interns must work from home part of the time and attend the Tempe office weekly. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Pay: $36/hour. Spring 2027 term: January 11, 2027 to April 30, 2027; 20 hours per week.

What you will do

• Apply predictive modeling and data analysis to insurance, marketing, claims, sales, growth forecasting, and process optimization problems.
• Develop pricing and underwriting risk, claims automation, sales forecasting, econometric, and predictive models.
• Use data mining for claims and competitive analysis.
• Evaluate statistical methods and tools for potential use by hirify.global data scientists.
• Communicate and present technical work while collaborating with experienced professionals.

Requirements

• Accepted into or currently enrolled in an approved in-person graduate program at Arizona State University in Statistics, Mathematics, or Actuarial Science.
• Have 3–6 semesters remaining in the graduate program, including summer, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028.
• Experience with statistical modeling and/or data mining.
• Experience with data analysis and database tools.
• Computer programming experience with Python, SAS, or R.
• Ability to communicate and present technical work.
• Must remain in good academic standing and make significant progress toward the degree during academic semesters.
• Must be available for a hybrid position and attend the Tempe office weekly.
• Must be immediately eligible to work lawfully in the United States; hirify.global will not sponsor U.S. work authorization, including H-1B visas.
