Laboratory Associate II (Microbiology Diagnostics)

Location: Onsite in Camarillo, California, United States; Monday–Friday office schedules are required.

What you will do

• Prepare GMP-compliant reagent solutions using batch records, SOPs, formulation specifications, chemical weighing, blending, pH adjustment, filtration, and aseptic handling.
• Verify chemical availability, lot status, expiration dates, certificates of analysis, and readiness of specialized media.
• Support filling operations through pre-use checks, solution transfer, environmental controls, and troubleshooting with Engineering and Production.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, equipment setup, sterilization records, calibration status, and clean-room standards.
• Perform in-process testing for pH, conductivity, osmolality, appearance, and other quality parameters; document deviations and support corrective actions.
• Contribute to process improvements, supplier qualification, reagent reformulation, workflow optimization, and technical training for new team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent laboratory or manufacturing experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cGMP and aseptic technique.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, independent judgment, teamwork, and adaptability.
• Ability to work onsite in the Camarillo office on one of the required Monday–Friday shifts: 4:00 AM–12:30 PM, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Occasional evenings, weekends, and travel may be required.
