Senior Compute Engineer (Go + Kube)

Location: Remote from Brazil or Mexico, with availability from 8:00am–5:00pm PST

What you will do

• Design, refactor, and write patches for large Golang codebases.
• Develop and test API services and web microservices in Go using the standard library, Ginkgo, and Gomega.
• Deploy, scale, and maintain applications on Kubernetes platforms, including management of internal mechanisms and resource quotas.
• Troubleshoot applications using logs, profiling, metrics, and monitoring systems.
• Work with Docker, containers, Linux control groups, PostgreSQL, and Prometheus.

Requirements

• 14+ years of professional software development experience with Golang, including knowledge of language internals and large codebases.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems, Docker, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, and web/HTTP microservices.
• Experience with comprehensive testing and Test Driven Development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be located in Brazil or Mexico and able to work 8:00am–5:00pm PST.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java or Python and the ability to read Java code.
• Experience managing monorepos and using CI tools.
• Experience with Bazel as a build system.
