Junior Software Engineer with Accounting Experience (Peru)

Location: Remote in Peru

Salary: $1,500–$4,000 gross per month

What you will do

• Design, develop, install, and maintain software solutions for financial processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new features and support the software development lifecycle.
• Use accounting expertise to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Provide support and consulting on software system usage.
• Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Strong understanding of reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with backend API development and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodologies, release processes, and automated testing.
• Required experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools, plus a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
