Mainframe IMS System Programmer

What you will do

• Support IMS system infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and issue resolution.
• Install, upgrade, patch, and maintain IMS and related tools in production with minimal disruption.
• Use SMP/E to manage software deployment, configuration control, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Identify automation opportunities and support modernization and process optimization in mainframe environments.
• Communicate with customers, coordinate cross-functional resolution efforts, and deliver robust technical solutions.
• Mentor new members of the IMS System Support Team.

Requirements

• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with global stakeholders and customers.
• Proven experience supporting IMS systems, including incident management, troubleshooting, user support, monitoring, and resolution.
• Strong understanding of IT service management processes and support methodologies.
• Experience resolving incidents, service requests, and escalations within defined SLA requirements.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, or similar ticketing and support tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
