Lead Automation Engineer (AI)

Location: Paris (75002), France; hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain reactive, scalable test automation frameworks.
• Lead UI automation with Playwright, including page objects, parallel execution, and cross-browser testing.
• Own API automation with Postman and Pactum JS, including collections, environments, scripts, and monitors.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve execution speed, reliability, and failure reporting.
• Apply AI to test generation, self-healing tests, flaky-test triage, coverage analysis, and reporting.
• Mentor QE engineers and support planning, release quality gates, coordination, and stakeholder reporting as backup to the QA Manager.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, quality assurance, or quality engineering.
• Proven experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Postman, Gherkin/BDD, and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Practical experience applying AI tools or techniques in QA or QE.
• Experience with test data orchestration, mentoring engineers, stakeholder communication, and management-adjacent coordination.
