Infrastructure Engineer (Python/AWS)

Location: Hybrid for residents of the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Amsterdam; office attendance 3 days per week. Remote roles require in-person attendance once per quarter.

Salary: $250,000–$367,000 plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead infrastructure resiliency initiatives, including recovery mechanisms, tenant isolation, and load-spike handling.
• Improve system observability, operability, alerting, and rollout strategies.
• Build performance-critical, user-facing infrastructure such as real-time event processing.
• Plan scaling initiatives to support significant customer growth.
• Partner with engineering teams to deliver reliable product features.
• Mentor engineers on observability, risk mitigation, and infrastructure best practices.

Requirements

• 9+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Strong ability to analyze edge cases, failure modes, bottlenecks, and performance issues.
• Experience investigating and debugging complex errors and reliability problems.
• Experience building scalable infrastructure for a high-growth product.
• Knowledge of infrastructure, observability, and risk mitigation practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, AWS, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, or Spark Streaming.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, or Tailwind CSS.
