Senior Security Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Remote across the U.S.; candidates based in New York City must work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.

Salary: $209,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for securing networks, systems, applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in the Security Engineering on-call rotation and respond to security incidents.
• Embed security into build pipelines through automated SAST/DAST testing and policy enforcement.
• Oversee vulnerability management and remediation efforts.
• Educate engineers and promote a security-oriented culture across the engineering organization.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Security Engineering, ideally including at least 2 years in a B2B organization.
• Strong proficiency in cloud security, including AWS IAM and modern security platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably in a platform engineering context.
• Background in application security and securing RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with modern IAM solutions.
• Technologies include Python, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Wiz, Exaforce, and CrowdStrike.
