SAP Basis Administrator

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect, install, configure, and operate SAP landscapes including S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and NetWeaver systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Administer SAP HANA databases, including sizing, replication, backup, recovery, performance tuning, and production operations.
• Plan and execute system copies, refreshes, upgrades, Support Package and kernel updates, and S/4HANA conversions.
• Design SAP migrations to AWS, Azure, GCP, and SAP RISE/Grow environments, including network and identity integration.
• Implement high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, transport management, monitoring, security patching, and operational runbooks.
• Provide 24x7 production support, lead incident reviews, document procedures, and mentor junior Basis engineers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States and authorized to work there.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of SAP Basis or platform engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
• Strong production experience with SAP HANA, S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and NetWeaver.
• Experience with SAP cloud migrations, upgrades, system conversions, HA/DR strategies, HANA System Replication, and clustering.
• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible, along with strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
