Middle Next.js Developer

Location: Remote from Ukraine, Bosnia, the European Union, Georgia, North Macedonia, Serbia, or Turkey; applicants must be located within approximately ±4 hours of CET.

What you will do

• Build and ship product features across a Next.js App Router client and a Fastify plus Payload CMS backend.
• Develop within a TypeScript monorepo using Feature-Sliced Design, strict layering, naming, and import conventions.
• Deliver localized features behind feature flags and A/B experiments.
• Integrate billing, email, CRM, and analytics providers through REST APIs and webhooks.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, review code, and resolve bugs through root-cause analysis.
• Optimize performance, apply secure development practices, and maintain logging, metrics, alerts, and production stability.

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial React experience, including 1+ year with Next.js, App Router, Server Components, route handlers, rendering, and caching strategies.
• Solid TypeScript and Node.js experience with Fastify, Nest, or Express; PostgreSQL; REST API design; migrations; authentication; and web security fundamentals.
• Experience with TanStack Query, Zustand, React Hook Form, Zod, Tailwind CSS, and a React component library.
• Experience with Payload, Strapi, Directus, or an equivalent code-first headless CMS on PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Cypress or Playwright, Vitest or Jest, Git flow, code review, CI, and production delivery.
• English at B1+ level and availability within approximately ±4 hours of CET are required.

Nice to have

• Daily use and project configuration of AI development tools such as Claude Code, including context, instructions, rules, and integrations.
• Experience with signature verification, idempotency, and retries for webhook integrations.
