What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain core features across libraries including Trackio, FastRTC, and Gradio.
- Architect complex Python projects and frameworks used to build machine learning applications.
- Grow early-stage libraries by shaping APIs, creating demos and documentation, and driving developer adoption.
- Develop real-time audio and video streaming and networking capabilities.
- Collaborate with open-source contributors through code reviews, technical discussions, and support.
- Integrate JavaScript or TypeScript and modern frontend technologies into Python-based web applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
- Experience architecting complex Python projects or frameworks.
- Experience taking early-stage libraries or products from initial users to broad adoption.
- Professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as React or Svelte.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source software projects.
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time audio/video streaming or networking, including WebRTC or WebSockets.
- Contributions to projects such as pipecat, LiveKit, FastAPI, or Starlette.
