System Engineer (Microsoft Infrastructure)

Location: Liège, Belgium; hybrid working model with remote work possible up to 50% of the time

What you will do

• Own and operate core infrastructure components across Windows and Linux environments.
• Ensure the availability, performance, stability, and security of servers and infrastructure services.
• Manage the full system lifecycle, including upgrades, replacements, hardening, monitoring, and decommissioning.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and identity services, including Entra ID, conditional access, RBAC, and endpoint management.
• Provide third-level support, resolve complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Automate recurring operational tasks with PowerShell or Bash, contribute to infrastructure projects, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience as a System Engineer or in a senior infrastructure role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration and infrastructure security concepts.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, Viva, and Defender.
• Intune and PowerShell are required. Bash, Jamf, VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix experience is advantageous.
• English at minimum B2 level is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jamf, Bash, VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
• Knowledge of backup, monitoring, IDS/IPS, and NIST/CIS frameworks.
