Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; optional hybrid working, including work from home on Fridays where applicable

What you will do

  • Provide strategic finance leadership and business partnership to Australia’s Fuels & Lubricants business and senior stakeholders.
  • Manage financial performance reporting, forecasting, business planning, budgeting, and decision support.
  • Direct finance and accounting activities, including financial analysis, statutory reporting, US consolidated reporting, accounting policy, and compliance.
  • Lead finance analysts and coordinate with shared services to deliver accurate and efficient financial support.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, coordinate internal and external audits, and support tax compliance and planning.
  • Partner with regional fuels, lubricants, treasury, and cash management leaders across the Asia Pacific region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA is required.
  • At least 15 years of progressive finance experience, including significant senior finance leadership experience.
  • Experience in the energy industry or another complex, capital-intensive industry.
  • Strategic financial leadership and business partnership experience across geographically dispersed operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, performance management, governance, risk management, commercial decision support, and Australian business operations.

Nice to have

  • MBA or another advanced business qualification.
