Senior Scientist – Discovery Process Research (Synthetic Chemistry)

What you will do

• Develop novel synthetic chemistry solutions for discovery programs from lead identification through development candidate selection.
• Solve synthetic bottlenecks and enable access to novel chemical space.
• Translate chemistry innovations into efficient synthetic routes for small molecules, oligonucleotides, peptides, and emerging modalities.
• Conduct research with a strong laboratory presence and apply state-of-the-art synthetic organic chemistry.
• Collaborate across Pharmaceutical R&D disciplines and contribute independently to scientific decision-making.

Requirements

• PhD in Synthetic, Organic, or Medicinal Chemistry.
• Experience in methodology development, catalysis, total synthesis, or a similar area.
• Peer-reviewed publications demonstrating scientific excellence.
• Strong synthetic organic chemistry and analytical chemistry knowledge.
• Creative problem-solving skills, collaboration ability, and commitment to laboratory work.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Postdoctoral or pharmaceutical R&D experience of up to three years.
• Hands-on knowledge of high-throughput experimentation setups.
