Director, External Manufacturing - Aseptic

Salary: $160,500–$305,000 annual base pay

What you will do

• Lead a team of manufacturing professionals and account managers responsible for third-party manufacture of small molecule products.
• Negotiate manufacturing service agreements and amendments while ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
• Manage material procurement, global logistics, manufacturing forecasts, delivery schedules, and supply planning.
• Develop financial operating plans, long-range plans, standard processes, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate quality systems, regulatory documentation, audits, deviations, inspections, and product disposition with internal partners and third-party manufacturers.
• Coach managers, develop talent, lead performance improvement programs, and communicate manufacturing performance to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required; an advanced technical degree is strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of experience, including technical expertise and proven project management skills.
• Progressive leadership experience as a supervisor, department manager, and leader of diverse operations teams.
• Experience in manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, or related operations functions.
• Strong business acumen and functional leadership experience in a complex operation.
• Role is based in North Chicago, Illinois, United States.
