Director, Process Engineering (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid role in North Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: $160,500–$305,000 annual base pay

What you will do

• Lead the Process Engineering department and manage a technically diverse team of engineers and scientists.
• Connect development organizations with manufacturing operations and third-party contract manufacturers from pilot scale through full-scale production.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, engineering, science, and technology teams to define and execute projects.
• Develop engineering strategies focused on process optimization, cost reduction, cost avoidance, and manufacturing capability improvements.
• Prepare project cost estimates, business plans, timelines, contingency plans, and capital project input.
• Represent hirify.global during regulatory audits and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation, including 4+ years of management experience.
• Knowledge of hirify.global Engineering standards.
• Demonstrated leadership, team-building, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, communication, and decision-making abilities.
