What you will do

• Develop and apply predictive models supporting pharmaceutical formulation and process development.
• Use thermodynamic and quantum mechanical principles to predict solubility, phase behavior, crystallization, supersaturation, and moisture sensitivity.
• Build models for physical stability, material compatibility, excipient interactions, and process performance.
• Create practical digital tools and decision-support workflows using hybrid physics-based and machine learning approaches.
• Define model validation strategies, including uncertainty assessment, applicability-domain evaluation, and performance documentation.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable insights and communicate findings, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Advanced degree, preferably a PhD, in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, physical chemistry, materials science, data science for physical systems, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics applied to pharmaceutical materials, formulations, and process performance.
• Experience with quantitative modeling and analysis of physicochemical experimental data.
• Experience applying AI/ML to scientific or engineering problems, including data quality, model suitability, and interpretability.
• Ability to combine mechanistic insight with data-driven methods and communicate conclusions in a business-relevant manner.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.
