AI-Native Software Engineer (New Grad) (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California; hybrid in-office attendance required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Salary: $43.00–$59.00 per hour; non-exempt and eligible for overtime

What you will do

• Build and ship product features with AI coding agents such as Claude Code.
• Work across Java and Spring services, MySQL, and TypeScript/React frontend applications.
• Write tests and acceptance criteria that define when features are complete.
• Review, release, and monitor features in collaboration with the product team.
• Identify weaknesses in agent skills and guardrails and help improve them.
• Use metrics and feedback after release to evaluate trade-offs and product impact.

Requirements

• Evidence of building and shipping software through internships, personal projects, open source, or hackathons.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools to build non-trivial functionality.
• Working proficiency in a general-purpose language, preferably Java or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with web applications from frontend through database, plus solid data structures and algorithms fundamentals.
• Clear written communication and the ability to specify intent precisely.
• A recently completed or soon-to-be-completed BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Portfolio or GitHub showing completed and shipped projects, especially projects built largely with AI agents.
• Experience with Java and Spring, React, SQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Experience writing prompts, skills, or evaluations that improve the reliability of LLM-based tools.
