Associate Manufacturing Engineer (CAR-T): Supporting the development and routine operation of a new CAR-T manufacturing process with an accent on frontline technical support, process troubleshooting, and batch quality. Focus on resolving complex manufacturing issues, supporting investigations and CAPAs, and implementing process improvements that increase throughput, capacity, and compliance.

Location: Onsite in Raritan, New Jersey, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Base pay: $78,251–$102,705 USD per year, plus potential performance-based bonus and/or equity.

What you will do

  • Support the development and routine operation of a new CAR-T manufacturing process.
  • Provide frontline technical support and resolve manufacturing, scientific, and equipment-related issues.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Compliance, Engineering, and technical experts to resolve process issues and maintain batch quality.
  • Support manufacturing investigations, CAPAs, SOP development, risk assessments, inspections, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor process health, identify improvement and waste-reduction opportunities, and support initiatives that improve throughput, capacity, cost, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers and serve as a primary point of contact across manufacturing and support organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 2–3 years of operations experience in a cGMP biotech or biopharma environment.
  • Cell or gene therapy cGMP manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work shifts and accommodate schedule changes when required by operational needs.
  • Ability to manage tasks under shifting priorities, meet critical deadlines, and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
  • United States work authorization is required; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.
