Go Developer (Fintech)

Location: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine, or Uzbekistan. Remote, hybrid, and office-based work options are available.

Salary: EUR 3,425–5,125 gross per month. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Build and evolve a real-time cross-selling platform with personalized insurance offers and business logic.
• Own backend services for multiple user-facing applications and advance the gRPC-based microservice architecture.
• Design and maintain REST and gRPC APIs integrating insurance platforms and third-party risk scoring, KYC, and payment services.
• Model and manage transactional PostgreSQL data for policies, claims, customer records, and audit trails.
• Implement event-driven workflows with RabbitMQ or Kafka, and write unit and integration tests for critical financial and claims logic.
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews, monitoring, scalability, availability, and fault tolerance while collaborating with Business Analysts, QA, and DevOps in Agile/Scrum.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial software development experience, including 5+ years of production Go experience.
• Higher education in Computer Science or a related software development field.
• Strong knowledge of Go concurrency, gRPC microservices, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, database migrations, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka, containerized backend deployment, automated testing, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant systems for high-throughput real-time workloads, including idempotency and SLA considerations.
• Upper-Intermediate English or above required. Experience with AI implementation and configuration, fintech or banking, complex integrations, Agile/Scrum, and end-to-end backend ownership is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance or other regulated domains.
• Knowledge of GDPR and PCI DSS compliance standards.
• Understanding of insurance concepts such as policies, underwriting, and the claims lifecycle.
