Environmental Test Engineer Associate (Winter 2027) (Aerospace)

Location: San Francisco, onsite five days a week

What you will do

• Design, build, and test satellite hardware and software on an interdisciplinary team.
• Set up and operate ambient thermal chambers, thermal vacuum chambers, vibration shaker tables, and EMI/EMC test equipment.
• Use thermal chambers, vibration tables, data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, and other instruments to execute test plans.
• Conduct environmental testing covering vibration, acoustics, thermal, thermal vacuum, and RF conditions.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Passion for hands-on hardware development in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time effectively.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with spacecraft systems and operations.
• Must work onsite five days a week in San Francisco.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or another protected individual under applicable U.S. export regulations.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing hardware.
• Python experience for interfacing with test equipment, processing datasets, and visualizing data.
• CAD experience and direct electrical or mechanical design experience.
• Experience debugging hardware and software problems under time pressure.
